At Southlake, we are lucky to have a team of people who go above and beyond – not only to care for their patients, but to support our hospital.
That’s why we celebrate Southlake’s Hospital Family – our amazing team of staff, nurses, physicians, students and volunteers – with an annual pancake breakfast in recognition of everything they do in support of our hospital.
Last year alone, our staff donated more than $320,000 through payroll giving, the 50/50 staff lottery, and signature events.
They also participate in events like the Southlake Golf Tournament presented by AirBoss and the Southlake SHIFT Gala, presented by Pfaff Automotive Partners. Last year, 230 members of our Hospital Family formed 18 staff teams and ran, walked and fundraised alongside our communities in the Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake. Together, our Hospital Family raised $64,000 just through the 2019 Run for Southlake!
Most importantly, they inspire our communities to give back. Since launching in 2017, grateful patients and families have donated more than $300,000 in honour of a specific staff member, volunteer, or team through our Heroes of Southlake Program.
Why do they do it? Because they care.
Many of our Hospital Family live in the communities Southlake serves, so it’s not just where they work – it’s the hospital they rely on to care for themselves and their families when they need it. And like everyone in our communities, they want to make sure they have the right tools in hand to provide the best possible care, right here close to home.
