Newmarket ON – Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2021 Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake with an overall goal of $280,000 which includes a community fundraising goal of $175,000 in support of Southlake Regional Health Centre. This four-week virtual challenge runs from April 12 through May 9, giving participants all the flexibility they need to maximize fun and customize personal health and wellness goals.
We’ve gone back to the spring event our communities are used to. Building on the success of last year’s event, each week of the challenge will focus on a different aspect of overall health – nutrition, consistency, endurance, and distance – to help participants work towards completing a customized distance goal during the final week. The activity and the distance goal is entirely up to each individual. Participants can join by doing any kind of physical activity – running, walking, biking, rowing, somersaulting – do it your way! People can support the event from the comfort of their living room, home gym, makeshift yoga studio, backyard, or hiking trail. Everyone who joins this year’s event will also receive badges for each goal completed along the way that can be used to share progress with family and friends and help keep them motivated.
Registration is $50 for all ages and includes the usual goodies – a race t-shirt, participant medal, and goody-bag – PLUS new this year, access to exclusive bonus content like never before! Participants will have access to a full month of exciting on-demand virtual content including fitness classes, cooking classes, mindfulness sessions, and exclusive playlists created by Cale Granton, official DJ of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Participants who raise $100 or more will have access to additional bonus content, including a wider variety of on-demand classes and sessions.
