In loving Memory

In Memory of Mildred “Ruth” Larkman

Mildred “Ruth” Larkman (nee Goddard), in her 100th year, passed gracefully, surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario.

Ruth served with the WRNS in WW11, where she met the man of her dreams. Between getting married, immigrating to Canada, changing career, and starting her family she showed incredible strength in all that she did.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, William, to whom she was deeply devoted for over 75 years, her parents, Amelia and Frederick, her brother Fred, her three sisters Gwen, Elsie and Hilda, and her close friend Joan.

Ruth’s spirit of determination, resiliency, deep loyalty and unconditional love of family will be forever cherished by her children, Dianne (Eric) and Brian (Denise), her grandchildren, Melissa (Derek), Ashley (Adam), Kyle (Nicole) and Kimberley (Sheldon) and her seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Logan, Connor, Ainsley, Colton and Callum.

Ruth will live forever in our hearts, she set the bar for being “good people”.

A private service for close family and friends to celebrate the incredible life of Ruth will be held at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home in Newmarket on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022.

While flowers are welcomed (Ruth loved flowers), a donation on her behalf to the Palliative Care Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre would also be a generous way of commemorating her life.
