Southlake Health is warning members of the public and vendor community about fraudulent activity involving unauthorized domains falsely claiming to represent the organization.
Southlake Health has received reports from external vendors that a third-party perpetrator has registered the domains “southlakeregionalproject.ca” and “southlakeprojects.ca” and is using them to impersonate a Southlake Health employee in attempts to purchase products and services on behalf of the organization.
These domains are not affiliated with Southlake Health.
Southlake Health’s only official operating domain is:
southlake.ca
Any communication originating from other domains claiming to represent Southlake Health should be treated with caution.
At this time, there is no evidence that Southlake Health’s internal systems have been compromised. The matter has been reported to the appropriate authorities and steps are being taken to address the fraudulent activity.
What to do if you are contacted
Members of the public, businesses, and vendors are advised to:
- Verify all purchase requests and communications claiming to originate from Southlake Health
- Carefully review email addresses and website domains before responding
- Do not share financial, personal, or business information with unverified contacts
- Contact Southlake Health directly using verified contact information if you are unsure about the legitimacy of a request
