When York County Hospital opened its doors in 1924, it was a beacon of hope and healing for patients and families living outside Toronto. Patients no longer had to travel into the city to receive care – saving them precious time and providing them with the opportunity to heal in their communities, surrounded by their loved ones and support systems. This continues to ring true a century later as Southlake expands as a comprehensive healthcare network. This network spans northern York Region and southern Simcoe County, and even further through its regional cancer and cardiac care programs.

The Southlake Health Family of 6,000 medical professionals, staff, volunteers, and students work together to deliver leading edge care, close to home – every day.
