We want to give back to Southlake to ensure that any family that faces a similar situation will be able to do what my family got to do, which was to be there when she needed us most and to say goodbye.
It was surreal. But looking back, it was exceptional care. And it was exceptional care in my community. I don’t know if I could use the words ‘world-renowned’, but it sure felt like that.
I couldn’t imagine the extra burden of continuing to drive to the city every day for Lawrence’s treatment. Being here means everything for our family.
Instead of spending four or five days in the hospital, I was home the same day. I am doing everything I love again without the pain. I have my life back.
My hospital came through for me in scheduling my surgery fast. I know they saved my life and now I can get back to being a mom.
