Southlake Health’s obstetricians and gynaecologists are a dynamic group with a strong patient-centred focus and a commitment to providing the best care possible for expectant parents and babies. Working as a team with our nursing and midwifery colleagues, our OB/GYNs provide 24/7 on site care at Southlake, a busy 500-bed full-service general and specialty hospital serving one of the most rapidly growing areas in Canada. Through their offices, Southlake’s OB/GYNs also offer comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care. Working with a team of experienced and empathetic nurses, they also support and manage patients at the Early Pregnancy Loss clinic. They are committed more generally to women’s health, and provide office and in-hospital surgical Gynaecological services to those in all stages of life.

Dr. Anne Fortier graduated from medical school at the University of Western Ontario in 2003. She then completed her 5 year residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at McMaster University. She holds academic appointments at McMaster University and the University of Toronto. She is involved in clinical teaching of medical students and residents. Dr. Edwards is an established OBGYN clinician/scientist, who has performed thousands of deliveries and complicated surgeries over her career, as well as published several award-winning publications. She completed her undergraduate degrees at Queen’s University and a PhD/MD degree at the University of Toronto. Her 5-year specialty residency was at the University of Calgary, where she became Associate Professor. She practiced at Rockyview General Hospital, Calgary, for close to two decades before joining Southlake Health in 2019. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and McMaster University. Her subspecialty interest is prolapse and urine incontinence. Her mission is to make a difference one woman at a time.

Dr. Rouselle graduated from medical school at Queen’s University in 1981.
