Community members are invited to join Southlake for a virtual community town hall on Tuesday, August 6th at 7 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the hospital’s previous strategic plan in March 2024, Southlake consulted with internal and external stakeholders and has consolidated feedback into a new consultation summary report. Community members are invited to join the town hall to hear about what’s been said thus far and share their input.
“For 100 years and counting, Southlake has served its communities with an unwavering commitment to leading edge care,” said Paul Woods MD, President and CEO. “As Ontario’s healthcare system continues to evolve, Southlake must be ready to meet challenges head on by adapting to meet the communities’ needs. That’s why we need everyone’s help to shape our new strategy that will help guide the next 100 years of care in our communities.”
While work is ongoing to develop the hospital’s new strategy, participants will hear more about the changing demographics within Southlake’s catchment area and their impact on local healthcare services during the town hall presentation.
“More than 1,150 individuals from all walks of life have shared their feedback so far,” said Tyler Chalk, Vice President, Strategy, Analytics and Communications. “Our consultation team has connected with patients, caregivers, doctors, nurses, staff, donors, elected officials, partners-in-care, Indigenous communities and many more. We thank everyone for sharing their stories with us.”
