Overview

Every year, individuals, clubs, businesses, and organizations come together to raise urgently-needed funds for our hospital by hosting their own events and fundraising activities – big or small – in our communities.

Together with your families, friends, neighbours and colleagues, you can make an incredible impact.

What is a Community Event?

A Community Event is any (yes, ANY) activity hosted by a group, organization, or individual to raise money in support of Southlake. It’s a great way to honour a loved one or colleague, celebrate a milestone, or say thank you for the care you or someone you know received.

Because Southlake does not receive government funding for most new or replacement tools and equipment, we rely entirely on the generosity of our communities to ensure our experts have the right tools to provide the care you need, when you need it. When we work together, we can make a big difference – right here in our communities!

Learn how we can support you OR to learn more about fundraising for Southlake – just call.  It’s fun and easy!

Ladies in Philanthropy for Southlake (LiPS)

Ladies in Philanthropy for Southlake (LiPS) is an entertaining, engaging and inclusive circle of women looking for an opportunity to shape their local hospital with like-minded individuals. In addition to enjoying social and educational events throughout the year, LiPS donors gather annually to collectively decide which Southlake project to fund with their combined contributions of $1,000 each. Each year, they gather at Southlake to hear presentations on our hospital’s priorities (including equipment, technology and campaigns), and vote to decide what their combined gift will fund. In past years, they have helped purchase a Neonatal Open Resuscitation Bed, Laparscopic Video Tower, Vital Signs Monitors, Endo Vascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR), Surgical Operating Room lights, a SLIT lamp and Paediatric Early Warning Systems Vital Sign Monitors, all having significant impact on the care provided at Southlake Health.

Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Fundraising Program

Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation encourages everyone to get 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity each week for optimal health benefits. Join an annual event that supports the highest priority needs of the Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Fundraising Program and does just that! Organized by Southlake’s very own clinicians, administrative staff and volunteers at the Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Clinic, the event raises funds for the program’s innovations, patient assessment tools, and patient education. The Beat Goes On, formerly known as Walk of Life is a non-competitive indoor walk with fun activities and prizing – that’s great for the whole family.
