Southlake celebrates 100 years of leading edge care

Tuesday April 30, 2024

Community invited to help chart the next 100 years of care through public consultations

Southlake is proudly celebrating a century of building healthy communities through leading edge care. For 100 years and counting, Southlake has championed an unwavering pride for people, place and performance, going above and beyond to make the best experiences happen for everyone who walks through its doors.

“Many things have changed over the past 100 years, but Southlake’s commitment to the communities it serves has never wavered,” said Paul Woods, MD, President and CEO at Southlake. “We are so proud to share Southlake’s 100-year history with the many doctors, nurses, staff, volunteers, patients and community members who have left an impact on our organization and communities. We look forward to celebrating with everyone.”

Southlake’s centennial anniversary celebrations kicked off officially at the Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake on April 28, 2024, where community members generously fundraised $100 for 100 years of Southlake. Building on Sunday’s success, Southlake will host a series of community events throughout the fall and summer, including a community consultation, ‘movie under the stars’ and an artisan market. Events will be free, giving everyone in the communities Southlake serves the opportunity to celebrate. Details will be shared as they become available.

Southlake will also lead community consultations to develop a new strategy for the organization as part of these community events. The new strategy will chart an exciting path forward and help guide the organization into the future. All members of the community are encouraged to register their participation and share their thoughts at one of the community town halls:

“As we embark on the next 100 years of leading edge care, Southlake remains relentless in our pursuit of excellence, always striving to innovate, inspire and serve our communities,” said Tyler Chalk, Vice President, Strategy, Analytics and Communications at Southlake. “The communities Southlake serves are experiencing extraordinary growth, and we’re excited to grow alongside them.”
