Southlake PPE Drive

Now more than ever our hospital needs support from the communities we serve. The COVID-19 pandemic is putting significant strain on vital hospital resources including much-needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Without these items, we cannot provide the care our patients need. As we continue to respond to the critical demand of COVID-19, we are calling on our communities to help us by donating any unused, unopened and unexpired PPE to our hospital.

Items needed included:

  • Protective gloves (all sizes) nitrile or vinyl
  • Ear-loop masks ASTMF2100-11, L2 rating or greater
  • N95 masks NIOSH or CE
  • Gowns AAMI, L2 rating or greater
  • Vented goggles CSA Z94.3-2015 or ANSI287.1-2015

Please note we cannot accept other related supplies, including hand-sewn masks.

Southlake’s PPE drive will take place beginning Monday, March 23rd. Deliveries can be made to Southlake’s receiving department at 596 Davis Drive, Newmarket, ON L3Y 2P9, Monday to Friday from 8am to 3:30pm.Directions to Southlake receiving department.All donations will be inspected, assessed, cleaned and disinfected (where possible). The receiving department will document the items donated, as well as your name and email address so that we can acknowledge your gift. Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to during drop-off. Please stay two metres (six feet) away from other people. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to drop off donations.

Please note that tax receipts for gifts-in-kind will not being provided for donations valued at $10k or less.  If you are making a larger donation please contact foundation@southlake.ca to inquire about eligibility for a tax receipt.
