Leslie’s Story

Leslie lives in Bradford, about 15 minutes away from Southlake.

She was 29 years old and a mother of a two-year-old daughter when she found a lump in her breast. shortly thereafter she heard the words no one wants to hear, “You have cancer.”

Panic set in immediately, but the Southlake team quickly put her at ease. Within days, Leslie was scheduled for surgery and the fast-growing tumour that could have ended her life was removed.

My hospital came through for me in scheduling my surgery fast. I know they saved my life and now I can get back to being a mom.

Leslie

Leslie is grateful for the exceptional care she didn’t have to go downtown to get.

We were able to help make sure Leslie had the best possible outcome. But every year there are hundreds of others just like her that we need to be here for too. It’s not just about having the latest gadgets. It’s about having the tools we need for our staff to provide the expert care they’re trained to, and that you need, when you need it.
